Why Is Cyberpunk 2077 Best-selling PlayStation 4 Game?

Posted on

It seems that few PlayStation 5 users are not interested in the game. Cyberpunk 2077 became the best-selling PlayStation 4 game last month after returning to the PlayStation Store on June 20.

Of course, Cyberpunk 2077 is not seen in the PlayStation 5 charts, but it seems that now that Sony has given its green light to this title, PlayStation 4 console users really want to experience it. Of course, it should be noted that the PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game is currently running very well, but the PlayStation 4 version is struggling with problems. Sure, the game has been better since its initial release and some of its problems have been fixed, but it’s still not without its problems.

At the time of the game’s return to the PlayStation Store, Sony had stated that work on the PlayStation 4 version of the game was continuing, and Project Red CD was set to fix the game’s problems by releasing updates throughout the year. It seems that Sony did not provide this warning because users have not stopped buying Cyberpunk 2077.

The interesting thing is that Cyberpunk 2077 apparently topped the PlayStation 4 charts last month without the help of Sony. Sony did not announce the return of this game to its store, and images and information of this game are rarely seen on the PlayStation Store pages. Following the PlayStation 4 charts, Grand Theft Auto V ranked second in the United States / Canada and Fifa 21 ranked second in Europe.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is still ranked number one in the US / Canada and Europe in the PlayStation 5 charts. Chivalry 2 also continued to do well, finishing second in the United States and third in Europe.

It’s great that Insomniac Games is once again at the top of the monthly sales chart, but the bottom line is that Cyberpunk 2077 topped the charts as soon as it returned to the PlayStation Store. The physical version of the game has always been available and many PlayStation 5 and 4 users have been waiting for the digital version to return.
