Why Are Chernobylite Creator Obsessed With Chernobyl To Develop?

Not long after the release of Chernobylite, the developers have now given an interview to PC Gamer.

Chernobylite by The Farm 51 and All In! Games Made is a horror game that focuses on the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The game’s director, Artur Focjik, mentioned in the interview the dangers that threaten the player. First of all there is the danger of radiation. A nemesis is following you throughout the story, and supernatural events called Chernobyl will occur on Chernobyl’s imaginary map.

If these issues do not make it difficult for you, the survival and servicing departments will get in the way.

Aside from the very immediate dangers that can actually kill you in an instant, there are things that will kill you over time. Apart from issues such as hunger and food, low mood and mental problems are also very important.

Wojciech Pazdur, the game’s creative director, said the studio had traveled to Chernobyl’s no-go areas. He explained that they designed the Chernobylite crafting and survival system, inspired by electronic components scattered throughout the area. Construction studios also scan Chernobyl restricted areas in 3D and use them to design a Chernobylite map.

We find real chemical tanks there and also there is a lot of scrap metal that we have added to the game.

The players in Chernobylite play a physicist named Igor, who used to work at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and lost his wife in the disaster. Thirty years later, Igor returns to the area in search of him.

The key to survival in this game is not solo activity. Chernobylite is a single player survival horror game, but there are others in the world who can help you. Another interesting thing about the game is that Igor can use a special device to change his previous choices. However, the manipulation of reality and time attracts attention, and players must be prepared for horrible creatures.

Chernobylite will be released on July 28, 2021 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and the Xbox X / S and PlayStation 5 versions will be released later.
